Digital Foil Working Process:

Digital cold foil uses a digital unit to apply UV-curable adhesive in precise patterns, then transfers foil through UV curing—no plates, quick setup.

  

Main Characteristics:  

No printing plates needed; fast job change

Suitable for short runs and customized designs

 Works on coated paper, film, laminated paper

Compatible with HP Indigo, KM, ABG, and other digital finishing systems

 

Recommended Applications:  

Ideal for premium labels, promotional editions, small batches, and personalized metallic effects.

 

Usage Conditions:  

UV: 150–350 W/cm (depending on machine) Speed: 20–65 m/min (equipment dependent)

 

Stamping Tips:  

Keep adhesive layer thin for sharp edges

Ensure substrate surface is clean and smooth

Test settings for different digital machines

 

Standard Width Format:  

640mm or 1280mm.  

Thickness: 12μm / other

3-inch core or 6-inch core.

Storage Conditions

Storage Environment

Temperature: 5°C – 35°C

Relative Humidity: 40% – 75%

Avoid direct sunlight, rain exposure, or environments with high temperature and humidity

It is recommended to store the foil in a dry and well-ventilated indoor warehouse


Prohibited Conditions

Keep away from heat sources (e.g., boilers, heaters, direct sunlight through windows)

Do not store with corrosive or volatile chemicals (e.g., solvents, acids, alkalis, etc.)

Avoid excessive stacking or heavy pressure that may cause foil deformation

If not used for a long period, keep the foil sealed in its original packaging


Shelf Life

Recommended to use within 12 months from the production date

Products beyond the shelf life should be tested in small batches to verify performance before bulk use


Pre-Use Recommendation

Before use, place the foil in the production environment for at least 24 hours to allow temperature and humidity balance, which helps ensure stable stamping performance
